Hydraulic Bed Piston Safety Stopper

Overview

This is a Safety Lock / Stopper designed for storage beds (ottoman beds) that use hydraulic gas struts. Over time, these gas springs can lose pressure or fail unexpectedly, posing a serious safety hazard while you are accessing the storage underneath.

I designed this clip specifically for my dorm bed to prevent the heavy bed frame from slamming down. It acts as a mechanical block, keeping the piston safely extended.

How to Use

1. Fully open your storage bed.
2. Snap the safety holder onto the exposed thin metal rod of the gas strut.
3. Important: Always remove the holder before attempting to close the bed!
