Shy Confession
Print Profile(1)

Description
The evening breeze parted the scattered flowers at the alley's entrance, and the boy's figure walked towards me, silhouetted against the orange streetlights. The envelope, clutched the entire way, was crumpled by sweat. With reddened ears, he slipped the letter into my palm, his voice as soft as falling cherry blossoms: "I've liked you for a long time." My heart pounded painfully against my ribs. The girl's eyes darted away in confusion, her cheeks slightly flushed. It turned out that those inadvertent glances during class, the warm milk secretly placed in my drawer, all concealed such profound affection. The wind, carrying the scent of flowers, brushed over my shoulders. Oh, youth, a shy yet fervent confession.
