Overwatch: Vendetta's Sword

Description
Overwatch: Vendetta's Palatine Fang
Hello! This is my first ever solo-project, designed in Plasticity! After nine variations and plenty of trial and error, I decided to share my replica of Vendetta's hard-light sword. This model was built with stability and color customization in mind.
Design and Assembly
2 Piece Build: The sword is split into two halves for easier printing and assembly. Just align the halves and superglue them together.
Stability Upgrades: I redesigned the gold pommel as one continuous piece attached to the blade section to prevent it from snapping off.
Color Ready: While it prints in two halves, most parts are kept as separate digital objects to make multi-color printing easy.
Print Settings and Tips
To get the best results and avoid unwanted edges or missing sections, I used these specific settings:
G-code Output - Disabled Reduce infill retraction (under Others tab).
Ironing - Enabled for all top surfaces.
Detect Thin Walls - Enabled (crucial for the handle design).
Orientation - I printed this as two halves because the original model was taking 13hours. Splitting it in half and simply gluing it together reduced the print time to appx 2~3 hours.
Filaments Used
White Tough+ PLA
Generic Grey PLA
Generic Red PLA
Silk Gold PLA
(Optional: Swapped the grey for silk silver PLA for a metallic look).
I recommend printing a single-color version first to check the fit and finish before committing to a full multi-color print. I've also uploaded the STEP file and .3mf file in case anyone would like to edit this. Plasticity offers a free 30-day trial.
IDEA BOARD!
-Create a hollowed out version, add a battery pack, button, and LED's and replace the white filament with clear filament.
-Either drill a hole or design a keychain version.
-Design a stand for desk displaying or a picture frame for wall displaying.
