This is an articulated face-changing doll designed and 3D printed, inspired by the popular character Omen from Valorant, and it's the 3rd piece in my 'Mechanical Series'
The doll combines Omen's mysterious assassin persona with a cute cat image: the iconic hood silhouette is transformed into a cat's hood shape, the cool purple and black color scheme reproduces the character's visual identity, and the triangle button on the belly is both an homage to the Valorant symbol and the switch for the core play mechanism—pressing the button switches the cat's expression from a soft and cute winking face to Omen's iconic cool three-eyed face, transforming the game's setting of 'shadow stealth and reality-switching' into a physical, interactive experience

This is the core linkage structure of the Shadow Cat face-changing doll, and also the technical ingenuity of this design
By leveraging the process characteristics of 3D printing, I achieved a monolithic structure without additional assembly, integrating the button, transmission, and gear locking modules into a single set of parts, greatly simplifying the assembly process
Initially, I attempted to directly use the elasticity of the printing filament to replace springs, exploring a 'purely printed, hardware-free' solution—although it could achieve the pressing stroke, the rebound memory and durability consistently fell short of expectations. Ultimately, to ensure the stability of the experience, I chose metal springs as rebound components, balancing tactile feel and durability while retaining the advantages of the print-in-place structure

Note: First install the pressing mechanism into the lower body, then combine the upper and lower halves. Check if the button press is smooth, and if it is, then use glue to fix the upper and lower halves
