This model is a remix of the original wall mount from:
👉 Thingiverse Thing 5196185

🛠️ Description

This mount was specifically designed to neatly and visibly install a HomematicIP CCU3 in a 19\" server rack

Originally, my CCU3 lay loosely in the rack (ceiling mounting), which made the status LED invisible and the overall setup looked messy. The goal of this remix was a stable, space-saving, and visually clean rack integration

🔄 Changes from the Original

The following adjustments were made to the original model:

  • ✏️ Base shape redrawn and slightly optimized
  • Wall mounting removed
  • Side rack mount added to attach the CCU3 directly to a rack rail
  • 👀 Orientation chosen so that the status LED remains visible
  • 📏 Designed for 1U mounting, however:
    • Total height is **approx 80 mm**
    • → extends **slightly beyond one rack unit (top & bottom)**

🔩 Assembly

  • Rack side:
    • Standard rack screws with cage nuts
    • Holes: Ø 6.5 mm (compatible with common rack screws)
  • CCU3 attachment:
    • Use of wood/universal screws
    • Hole diameter: 2.9mm (Screws are threaded directly into the plastic)
  • Special feature:
    • On the back there are 2 integrated cylinders that serve as screw receptacles (approx 10mm)
    • Ensure sufficient space behind the mount in the rack

🖨️ Print notes

  • Material: PLA, PETG or similar
  • Recommended orientation: lying flat on its back
  • Infill: 20–30% sufficient
  • Supports: no supports

⚠️ Notes

  • Due to its height, space problems may occur in densely occupied racks
  • Especially with **shallow server rack depth**, pay attention to clearance
