Description
This is the revised version of my marking gauge!
The marking gauge is still 20 cm long, and has a sliding and lockable stop.
Improvements:
Reinforcement of the thread on the stop with a sleeve
Possible labeling of the marking gauge with a suitable pen.
The labeling is very simple. Simply label the marking gauge with a suitable, preferably abrasion-resistant pen. If the pen is not abrasion-resistant, you can apply the label either very small, between the lines, or on the other side of the ruler.
Advantages of this labeling:
- Rotatability of the ruler: It can be freely chosen whether the lines point left or right!!!
- No AMS is needed to get a readable scale and labeling. You can also, if you wish, color the scale lines to make them more visible. Of course, if you have an AMS, you can use it to highlight the scale in color.
If the sleeve bothers you, you can also take the old version. The ruler is 1:1 the same and everything I have written here about its labeling also applies to the old version!
