THE MODEL :

Embody mystery and metamorphosis with this Baroque masquerade mask inspired by the beetle's silhouette. This bold design merges the insect's geometric exoskeleton with the fluidity of classical acanthus scrollwork. The stylized mandibles frame the face with almost divine authority, while the chiseled patterns on the forehead evoke ancient sacred jewelry reimagined through Baroque opulence. The matte black finish provides the sophisticated look of basalt or precious resin, perfect for an exclusive event or a standout gallery piece.

Proven print settings :

• Material : Matte Black PLA.
• Infill : 5% (perfect for lightweight, comfortable wearing); can be increased up to 15% to improve overall structural rigidity.
• Nozzle : 0.4 mm.

Maker's Tip : This mask features very graphic reliefs. For an "Antique Jewelry" look, lightly dry-brush the edges of the mandibles with gold or copper wax. Fasten it with leather cords or black grosgrain ribbons for a secure and stylish fit.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
