Langtu T87Ultra Keyboard Carbon Fiber Top Cover Mold
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a shell mold specifically designed for the Langtu T87 keyboard (this keyboard may only be sold in mainland China). Thanks to the relatively simple design of the original top cover, it is possible to replace it with a carbon fiber part.
Since this is a mold model, to reduce the difficulty of post-processing (you don't need to polish the mold to be very smooth), I suggest you treat it as a disposable mold and destroy it during demolding.
Recommended filament types are: 1. PVA water-soluble filament, where the mold is directly dissolved in water after carbon fiber molding. 2. PLA filament, where after carbon fiber molding, the temperature resistance difference between PLA and resin is used to soften and peel off the PLA mold.
I do not recommend using any high-performance, high-temperature resistant filaments to print the mold, as this will make destroying the mold extremely difficult.
After printing both mold parts from the model file, I used 3 round rods, 46mm in length and 6mm in diameter, for alignment and splicing ➡️ ground and polished the surface ➡️ brushed on PVA release agent (PARTALL brand) ➡️ performed carbon fiber molding using the carbon fiber vacuum infusion process (I recommend using at least 3 layers of 200gsm carbon fiber cloth) ➡️ destroyed the mold for demolding ➡️ trimmed the carbon fiber by comparing it with the original shell ➡️ aligned it with the original top cover ➡️ and installed it onto the keyboard bottom case with epoxy glue.
