Parametric Furniture Vent Grommet

A two-part parametric ventilation grommet for furniture panels. Designed for kitchen cabinets, built-in appliances, and any furniture that requires a clean ventilation cutout. The outer frame sits flush on the front face of the panel, the inner insert slides in from the back and locks with a press-fit or glue.

Fully customizable in your browser using the Customize button. Adjust the slot dimensions, panel thickness, flange width, and chamfer to match your exact cutout.

Parts included

• Outer frame - visible from the front, covers the raw edges of the routed slot with a finished flange.
• Inner insert - slides in from the back, finishes the edges from the inside. Insert depth is independent from panel thickness, so it works on any panel regardless of how deep the slot goes.

Parameters

• slot_width / slot_length - dimensions of your routed slot
• panel_thickness - thickness of your furniture panel (e.g. 18 mm)
• flange_width - how much the frame overlaps the panel surface
• flange_chamfer - optional bevel on the front edge
• wall_thickness - wall thickness for both parts
• clearance - gap between outer and inner. Keep at 0.1-0.2 mm for press-fit
• insert_depth - depth of the inner insert, 5-8 mm is enough for gluing
