Toolless Eachine EV800D Monitor Conversion
I looked around at the options out there for converting my spare EV800D into more of a handheld monitor, and all of them needed heat-set inserts, or some other hardware, and often had unneccesary material. So I decided to make my own! This is designed using a Eachine EV800D clone, but should work fine with the default model.
The pictured copy was printed with translucent PETG, and PLA for the buttons.
This is a simple but effective method of, with only a screwdriver to remove the screws from your goggles, converting them into a handheld monitor for spectator flying or flying LOS/non-fpv.
All you have to do is unscrew the screws in your headset, carefully remove the screen/motherboard/battery, then slot the battery into the slot in the back and place the screen/motherboard in front. Then place the buttons into the slots (S-M-B+-R-C+), you can use tape to hold them in place from the top temporarily if you find it tricky, but I found I could lower the body onto the lid upside down, or with tape lower the lid down and snap it into place.
Let me know if you print this, or if you have any issues shoot a comment and I'll try help! Hope this model is useful to somebody and if you enjoy the print please feel free to
