With the rising cost of living, having what you need at your fingertips makes more sense than ever.

This is just the beginning, a first glimpse of what the SmartDrip system can become.

This isn’t a finished system.

The first batch focus on core hardware: fittings, emitters, base stake and hubs.

More is on the way…

  • Yeah, it might leak… sometimes a little elbow fluid helps fix things.
  • If dealing with all the files and options is too much, just move on and keep going.
  • I'll sort things out and adapt as things evolve.
  • Please note: If you are using Handy, there may be multiple versions, and some items in a profile or plate may not be needed. You can unselect them to avoid printing unnecessary elements.
  • In the Handy app, list order may change. To keep intended order or to not have size and thing mixed, use the desktop or mobile browser version if it can help!

💡 Ideal for:

  • Low-pressure and gravity-fed irrigation systems
  • Pressure when sealed (varies depending on components/ pressure).
  • Micro drip irrigation setups

Fits: 

  • ¼" OD irrigation line (approximately 4.6 mm ID).

Usage Guidelines

  • When connecting to a main hose, always use a pressure regulator before the hub.
  • Newer hub can handle high-pressure at your own risk.
  • Install a cartridge-type filter upstream to prevent clogging or failure of the hub, valves, and nozzles.

Tips

  • Using hot water during assembly can help reduce wear on barbs/nipples, extend component life, and support better long-term durability with less waste.
  • Fittings require the same preparation as the hub and may also require sealing depending on your setup.
  • Horizontal print orientation improves strength, but light filing may be required on the lower section and upper area of the fitting. This can vary depending on tube hardness, age, type, and brand.
  • The user is responsible for any required filing, sanding, sealing, tube compatibility verification, and final leak-proofing of the hub assembly, fittings & accessories.
  • Use a small torch to finish the sanded/ filed barb to smooth it.
  • Rinse before using.
  • Make small test prints first. Scaling the part up slightly can also help achieve a better fit for slightly larger tubing.
  • For reduced sanding, filing, a brass HF version will also be available. It requires tapping and may also require sealing depending on the application.

 

Before Printing:

  • This is small, so ensure you have a clean bed and in good condition to prevent failure and good part adhesion.

DripControl

  • In-line adjustable flow-control needle valve
  • Available in HF brass barb configurations
  • Compatible with both pin and pinless VectorCap setups, depending on the application and VectorNozzle used
  • DripVector bases differ and operate independently and can be individually adjusted for precise flow control without restricting adjacent units.

DripVector

  • Smart modular emitters with adjustable and fixed flow.
  • Spray patterns: 45°, 70°, 90°, 180°, 360°, and mist.
  • Features quick-interchangeable nozzles for flexible spray-pattern control compatible across all emitters.
  • DripVector: is the original emitter, available in both variable-flow and fixed-flow configurations.
  • AirVector: Designed for suspended applications where variable flow is required.
  • MicroVector: Offers the most versatile mounting options available in a fixed-flow configuration.
  • NanoVector: The smallest emitter available, with same quick-change nozzle system and fixed flow.
  • Additional spray-pattern designs are currently in development.

Please note: The print angle leaves a small notch on the flange. When aligned correctly, this notch can help guide the nozzle into place more easily. However, depending on filament shrinkage, print settings, and other factors, the notch may also become a point where the nozzle can slide more easily.

Testing has shown that fitment can vary, even between prints made on the same or different machine using the same spool and nozzle size and wear.

 

 If needed, you can match components with the best-fitting nozzle or make minor adjustments to the nozzle size for a tighter fit. In most cases, using an O ring will keep everything in place.

 

The Nozzle O ring, whether a standard one or the printed version provided, helps retain the nozzle and improve overall stability.

 

Hub

  • Hub offerings will change and evolve over time.
  • Available with plastic nipples that may require sanding, filing, or sealing depending on the application.
  • HF - High Flow version features a brass tap x threaded barb.
  • VariHub HF is an individual control hub designed to remotely control various hard-to-reach places, or simply for convenience.
  • VariHub ports can also be converted into a DripVector using a pinned cap, allowing flow to be controlled.

DripLink Fittings – Versions

  • v1.0: HF (Brass barb)
  • v1.1: Lite
  • v1.2: HD (feature slightly larger barbs.) 
  • It’s recommended to download one of each size and test which fits your tubing best. All hubs use HD ports.

DripBender

  • A sleeve designed to bend irrigation lines to a desired radius.
  • More versions are on the way. If you need a specialized design, feel free to ask.

DripGrip

  • A screw-mount clip that securely holds irrigation lines in place.
  • Keeps your setup organized and clean.
