Description
This 3D model uses available spare parts for rolling knife sharpeners (such as Horl) to cheaply build your own rolling knife sharpener.
- Plate1 - The rolling sharpener itself
- Plate2 - The rotating axle
- Plate3 - Knife holder 20° - Standard angle for knives in Europe (solid)
- Plate4 - Knife holder 10° - Extra sharp but delicate
- Plate5 - Knife holder 15° - The compromise between 20° and 10°
Replacement discs are needed for the rolling sharpener, e.g. on Amazon under "Rolling Sharpener Replacement Disc Set" for just under 10€
Additionally, type 6001 ball bearings are needed. Real ball bearings are optimal (see BOM), alternatively, suitable ball bearings can be printed:

The knife holders have a high and a low side, the latter is for narrow blades.
15 magnets, each 6mm in diameter and 2mm in height, are needed for the knife holder.
Under the knife holder are recesses for anti-slip rubber pads (e.g. from Ikea cabinet doors - hot glue also works)
