  • 2 mm drill bit x 1: For reaming lower control arm axel holes

Description

The kids Absima Hurricane RC truck inevitably got the front bumper smashed. This is a close-to-original printable replacement that requires no modification to install. I have made the mid section slightly beefier to make it more print-friendly but also to account for the weaker print (layer lines). The fact that it can break I see as a feature - a mechanical fuse. Rather break the bumper in the middle than damage the front suspension. Make your own adjustments to material, infill and walls to adjust the strength (or "fuse").

The 2 mm holes for the lower control arm axels are deliberately designed tight and will have to be reamed with a 2 mm drill after printing. The LED's and other interfaces fits as-printed.

The provided print file is in PETG with PLA as support interface, which prints perfectly for me. This was the material I had avaiable at the time of printing.

I would consider to print it in "TPU for AMS" if you have any available as that is a perfectly tough material for this purpose. Alternatively ABS would be a good choise.

I have not done a test fit, but I believe it fits as rear bumper as well. Let us know in the comments if you try that.
