This customizable memorial star was designed as a simple and meaningful keepsake for a funeral.

The idea is to create something small and tangible that people can take with them — a quiet reminder that lasts.

Each star includes:

• First and last name of the deceased
• Date of birth
• Date of passing

The text is slightly raised to ensure good readability while keeping the design minimal and respectful.

Technical Details

• Height: 4 mm
• Text height: 0.5 mm raised
• Weight: approx. 4 g per star
• Print time: ~45 minutes per star
• Capacity: up to 13 stars per plate (Bambu Lab A1 Mini)

Print Settings

• Nozzle: 0.2 mm (recommended for clean text)
• Top layer: Ironing enabled (for smooth surface and better readability)
• Material: PLA (tested with marble filament)

Recommended color combinations:

• White / marble with light or dark text
• Black / white
• Grey / black
• Any high-contrast combination works well

Filament Change (for Dual-Color Printing)

• A pause is built in at layer 41 for manual filament change
• This allows clean dual-color printing without AMS

How it works:

1. Start printing with base color (e.g. white / marble)
2. Printer pauses automatically at layer 41
3. Change filament (e.g. black for text)
4. Resume print

Note for AMS Users

• With AMS, color changes can be handled automatically
• The pause can be ignored or removed if preferred

Customization

The file is prepared so you can:

• Edit name and dates directly in Bambu Studio
• No additional software required

Tip:

• If the name is too long, simply scale the text slightly
• Adjust spacing to ensure everything fits nicely
