FAQs About the Model

💡 Detailed Answers:

Why are supports absolutely required?
Both busts MUST be printed with supports – the overhanging facial sections like nose tip, chin, eyebrows, ears, and lips would collapse or come out messy without support. The deep-set eye areas on the monkey head and the long snout on the camel head are especially critical. Absolutely use Tree Supports with 0.2 mm interface for clean removal. Set support density to 10-15% – stable enough but easy to remove for the best results!

Do all glasses fit on the busts?
Yes, the head shapes are proportioned so that standard glasses of all sizes rest securely on the nose bridge and temple area. Narrow reading glasses, wide sunglasses, gaming glasses – all fit. The nose saddle of both figures is designed so glasses neither bend nor fall off. For exceptionally heavy frames, +5% scaling is recommended for more resting surface!

Which headsets fit?
All common over-ear gaming headsets and headphones (JBL, Sony, Bose, SteelSeries, Razer, HyperX, etc.) fit perfectly. The wide skull of both busts provides sufficient resting surface for headset headbands. On-ear headphones and smaller models can also be hung. Important: The headset weight (up to approx. 200g) is safely supported by the massive base!

How heavy are the busts after printing?
With 20-25% infill and 1.6-2.0 mm wall thickness, the busts have a pleasant weight that makes them stable – even when a heavy headset is placed on them. If needed, infill can be increased to 30% for even more stability. Alternatively, the base interior can be filled with sand or concrete granules after printing!

How do I remove supports cleanly without scratches?
After printing, let the bust cool for 10-15 minutes – supports detach more easily then. Use flat-nose pliers to lever support structures from the face, then work with 400 and 800 grit sandpaper. For the PLA Stone texture, a light matte sealing spray is recommended afterwards – the result then looks like real concrete casting!

🚀 Conclusion

The Monkey Head & Camel Head Glasses Holder and Headset Holder is your highlight among creative 3D print desk organizers! These two expressive animal busts – the imposing gorilla character with deep gaze and the humorous camel head with striking snout – combine sculptural art with functional desk management.

Technical perfection: Tested with Bambu Lab P1S, Bambu PLA Stone, and Sunlu PLA+ on Textured PEI Plate – the PLA Stone filament gives both busts a deceptively real concrete and natural stone look. Supports are absolutely required (Tree Supports for all facial sections), but deliver a professional sculpture finish after careful removal.

Versatile use: As a stylish glasses holder for everyday and gaming glasses, headset stand for all common over-ear models, desk decor in gaming setups, or office sculpture – both busts fit everywhere! The massive base safely supports even heavy headsets up to 200g.

Why indispensable: In Stone Light Gray like real concrete casting, in Anthracite like polished granite, in Matte Black like a dark design sculpture. Displayed as a duo they are an unbeatable desk statement that proves: organization can look just as good as art!

Bring sculptural art to your desk – functional & unique!

Thanks for your feedback and the photo! In our test prints with the Bambu Lab P1S we had no issues with the supports at all. We recommend manually adjusting the support settings in Bambu Studio – for example the support type, density or the distance to the model. That can make all the difference! If you have any further questions, we're happy to help. 😊

Support Issue:this print needs work. tree supports is not the right kind of support. it falls and strings. wasted a lot of filament to get to the point the support is not strong enough.

Hi, sorry to hear you had trouble! 😊 In our own tests with this print profile we had absolutely no issues – the model printed cleanly and without any problems.Tree supports can perform differently depending on the printer and settings. Here are a few tips that might help: - Use normal supports instead of tree supports – they provide more stability for this model - Slightly reduce the support Z-distance for better adhesion - Lower the print speed for supports a bit - Make sure the print plate is clean for optimal first layer adhesion Honestly, a 1-star review for an issue that comes down to slicer settings isn't really fair to the model itself – but we're happy to help so the next print turns out great! 💪
