Description

BEHOLDER - Dungeons and Dragons Legendary Monster

A terrifying aberration drifts into your campaign…

This Beholder miniature captures the iconic floating horror of Dungeons & Dragons: a bulbous, many-eyed tyrant with a cavernous maw and a gaze that can unravel even the bravest adventurer. Sculpted with dynamic eyestalks and a detailed rocky base, it brings instant presence to any tabletop encounter—whether as a central boss or a lurking nightmare in the depths of your dungeon.

Painted in a classic fleshy red tone with a piercing yellow central eye, this version stays true to traditional beholder depictions while still leaving plenty of room for personal interpretation. From the jagged teeth to the clustered stones beneath it, every detail is designed to reward close inspection and enhance immersion at the table.

Perfect for dungeon masters looking to elevate their encounters, this miniature commands attention the moment it’s placed on the board.

Antimagic Cone.
The beholder’s central eye emits a 150-foot cone of antimagic. This area suppresses spells and magical effects.

Eye Rays.
On each of its turns, the beholder shoots three random eye rays (charm, paralyzing, fear, slowing, enervation, telekinetic, sleep, petrification, or disintegration), each with its own devastating effect.

Levitation.
The beholder hovers effortlessly, drifting through the battlefield with eerie control.

Bring this iconic monster to life on your tabletop—and let your players feel the dread of meeting a true tyrant of the Underdark.

Great model! Looks good, was fun to paint. For an enhancement, I think it could use some extra detail on the base itself; e.g. a crystal from the Underdark, or a broken helmet.

12 eye stalks? Beholders only have 10 eye stalks. Why, oh why, do some many beholder models fail at this very basic concept?

that is the standard variation, however there can be beholders with more. there is a guide to creating custom beholders in one of the monster manuals i think.
