Description

TP-Link Deco BE63 Decorative Cover - "Help, My Router Is Ugly"

You spent $300+ on a router that looks like a Pringle can. Congrats on your life choices. Now let's make it not look like a Pringle can.

I designed this cover for the TP-Link Deco 7 Pro BE10000 (Deco BE63), which measures 4.23 × 4.23 × 6.93 inches (107.5 × 107.5 × 176 mm). It's meant to sit over the unit and make your desk/shelf look like you're a person who has their life together.

Based on published specs, these models share the same or nearly identical footprint and may be compatible. I have not tested these myself, so please don't blame me if it doesn't fit and your router has hurt feelings:

  • Deco BE65 Pro - identical dimensions (107.5 × 107.5 × 176 mm) ✅ likely fit
  • Deco BE65 - same cylindrical form factor, ~174mm tall, slightly shorter ⚠️ probably fits, needs confirmation
  • Deco XE75  4.0 × 4.0 × 6.6 inches, slightly narrower and shorter ⚠️ might fit with wiggle room
  • Other tall cylindrical Deco models - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ worth a shot

If you have one of these models, PLEASE leave a comment confirming or roasting my assumptions. I'll update this listing and make adjustments if needed. We're all in this together. Except you, XE75 owners. You're on your own. (Kidding. Please test it.)

🆕 NEW: Airflow Version

For those of you who looked at a covered router and thought “this seems like a thermal experiment” , good news, I made a version for you.

This Airflow Version includes additional ventilation to keep things cooler while still hiding your router’s... distinctive aesthetic choices.

What’s different: Added additional ventilation for improved airflow to vents in the bottom of the router.

If you’re in a hotter environment or in an enclosed space (emotionally or thermally), this is probably the version you want.

If you prefer the clean, solid look and like to live dangerously, the original is still there waiting for you.

⚠️ Disclaimer

  • I've designed this with thin walls and an open top for airflow. In my testing, I've noticed zero degradation in Wi-Fi speeds. That said, every setup is different, so print at your own risk. If your signal tanks, that's between you, your house, and the Wi-Fi gods. I accept no responsibility for your router's feelings.
  • Print at your own risk. I accept compliments, feedback, and mild disappointment.
  • Fair warning: this thing is a commitment. At 0.16mm layer height, mine clocked in at over 14 hours of print time. You can bump it up to 0.2mm if you value your time more than your pride. It'll finish faster but won't look quite as clean. Your printer, your call.

🛠️ Print Notes

  • Design to print with no supports needed!
  • PLA works fine unless you live in a really hot place or are bad at decisions. Then maybe try PETG or something else.
