Printing Recommendations & Details
- Material: I highly recommend printing all components in PETG. PETG provides the necessary toughness for the mechanical stress on the gears and offers better temperature resistance and durability for daily use.
- Infill: At least 20-25% (Gyroid recommended) for extra stability of the crankshaft.
- Wall Loops: 3-4 wall loops ensure that the gear teeth remain strong and durable.
Assembly
The model is designed with tight tolerances for a precise fit. If the gears feel a bit stiff at first, a drop of food-safe silicone grease or simply "breaking them in" by turning the handle several times will help smooth out the movement.
