Who hasn't experienced it? You just want to quickly hang a picture or mount a shelf, but don't feel like getting the vacuum cleaner out of the cupboard first. This 3D-printed drill dust catcher uses simple gravity to collect the drilling dust exactly where it's created – on the wall.
To ensure the optimal gap between the wall and the drill bit for every drill diameter, we have divided the design into two optimized variants:
Variant 1: The Precision Attachment (15 mm hole)
This attachment is your daily companion for classic interior work. It is optimized for drill bit diameters from 3 mm to 10 mm. The controlled distance between the drill bit and the edge of the hole prevents dust from "shooting" forward out of the tray. At the same time, there is enough space for the dust to flow cleanly away due to gravity. Perfect for 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm standard wall plugs.
Variant 2: The All-rounder (22 mm hole)
This variant is intended for larger projects and heavier fastenings. It covers the range from 11 mm to approx. 18 mm drill bit diameter. With larger drill bits, a massive amount of debris is created in a very short time. The 22 mm hole provides the necessary "buffer" here so that the material does not accumulate in the drill channel and obstruct the view. Even with slight vibrations of the machine, the generous rim protects your printed component from damage by the drill head.
