Preppy fountain pen short + cap (fits converter)

A shortened body and cap design for the Platinum Preppy fountain pen. The design is elegant and elevates the Preppy’s perceived value to better match its writing quality. This version keeps a compact form factor while still fitting a converter.

• Fits both cartridges and converters

• Two cap versions:

   

  • Version 1: smooth, clipless design (no glue required, cleanest look)
  • Version 2: supports original Preppy clip (friction fit or a drop of glue)

   

• The current version is a tight fit. Snap the cap on and off 10-20 times and it will become looser. If you still need more adjustment, scale the cap by 0.5%.

• ABS
• PLA CF
• PETG
• PLA Basic
• PLA Matte

All materials worked well with the same tolerances on all my BambuLab printers.

Important Notes / Instructions

• The design works as-is, but the original slip & seal-mechanism can also be reused:

  Cut open the original cap at the top and push out the spring and seal, then insert them into the printed cap.

   

• For Version 2, attach the original clip using friction fit or a small amount of glue.

   

• Do not change orientation on build plate or print settings. Use original print profile for best results.
• Choose tolerance based on your printer and preference.
