đ¤ Jawbot â Fully Articulated Print-in-Place Robot
Meet Jawbot â a chunky, expressive robot with a big bite and fully poseable body. Designed to be fun, durable, and easy to print, this model comes almost entirely assembled straight off the build plate.
đ§ Features

đ§Š Assembly Notes
- All joints (except fingers) are print-in-place
- Fingers are attached using short pieces of 1.75mm filament as pins
- Simply cut small segments and insert them to secure finger movement
â ď¸ Important â First Movement
After printing, the joints will be slightly fused by design.
đ You MUST carefully âsnapâ the joints loose before use:
- Gently apply pressure to each joint
- Youâll feel a small âpopâ as the connection breaks free
- Do this slowly and carefully to avoid damage
Once released, joints should move smoothly.
đ§Ş Print Settings (Tested)
- Material: PLA (works great)
- Layer height: 0.16 mm
- Supports: â Enabled (auto-generated)
- Brim: Optional (for extra stability)
- Infill: 10â15% is enough
đĄ Tips
- If joints are too tight â gently work them back and forth
- If too loose â slight scaling (99â100%) can help
- Remove supports carefully around joints
- A tiny bit of lubricant (optional) can improve motion
