Alternative large-diameter wheel (380mm-15 inches) for Moza ESX series steering wheels

Alternative face plate for the ESX series steering wheel in the moza R3 R5 kit. The parts have been separated and can be printed with printers larger than 250mm (such as P1s, H2c, etc.). The total modification cost is within 60 RMB (10 USD).

The outer diameter of the steering wheel is 380mm (15 inches), which is the most common size for household cars, making it very easy to buy a steering wheel cover to improve the feel;

The original file for the face plate is provided and can be sheet metal processed at JLCPCB using 201 stainless steel material with a black matte powder coating on the surface, costing only about 45 RMB (6 USD).

Some other designs on the market use heat-set inserts or screw directly into the printed part for fixation. Although screws can be hidden, the strength is generally poor and may loosen during intense driving.

Although the face plate of this design does not hide screws, it can be wrapped with a purchased steering wheel cover for a more aesthetic appearance and higher strength

The face plate can also be made from printed parts, but for aesthetic reasons, no reinforcing ribs were used in the design, which may result in some flex after installing the steering wheel rim. It is recommended to use sheet metal for the face plate. The drawings are provided in the original model file in STEP format.
