Description
Y-type dining and sleeping cars (often nicknamed "Ypsilons") are classic non-air-conditioned railway cars produced mainly in the 1970s in the GDR (Bautzen) for socialist railway administrations, including the Czech Railways. They are part of the UIC-Y concept, known for its versatility, compartment layout and characteristic folding doors.
