🚲 Minimal Bike Wall Mount

A clean and minimal wall mount designed to store and display your bike in a simple and modern way.
The design is made to blend into a wide range of interiors and living spaces without looking bulky or overly technical.

Design

The mount features a clean shape with rounded edges for a more modern and refined look.
It is designed to be functional, visually simple, and easy to integrate into different rooms such as bedrooms, hallways, offices or living spaces.

🛠️ Construction

This version uses a 7 mm wall thickness to provide a good balance between strength, print time and material usage.
It is designed to be stable enough for everyday use while still keeping the overall design lightweight and efficient.

Each wall mount includes 2 mounting holes for a more secure and stable attachment to the wall.
The holes are designed for M6 countersunk screws, and the countersink is already built into the model for a clean and flush fit.

🔩 Hardware

The mounting holes are primarily designed around M6 countersunk screws.

As a general recommendation, 60 mm or 80 mm screw length should work well, depending on your wall type and the hardware you use.
M5 screws may also be sufficient in some cases, but this depends on the wall material, load, and installation quality.
Always choose screws and wall plugs that are appropriate for your specific wall.

📏 Rod Size / Print Profiles

This model is made for a 20 mm wooden dowel with a length of 300 mm.
To compensate for real-world tolerances in wooden dowels and printing variations, I included 3 different print profile versions:

    •    19.7 mm = very tight fit
    •    19.9 mm = standard fit
    •    20.1 mm = easier fit (if you want a loose fit or use glue)

Wooden dowels can vary slightly depending on manufacturer, wood type, region, humidity and other production tolerances, so you can choose the version that fits your dowel best.

Variable layer height is enabled for a cleaner and smoother surface finish. If you do not care as much about the visual appearance, you can simply reset it in Bambu Studio to use a standard layer height and reduce print time significantly.

⚖️ Intended Use

I originally designed the 20 mm version for a road bike in the range of around 10–15 kg.
In my testing, 20 kg also worked without issues, but I always recommend keeping a reasonable safety margin.

🔜 Upcoming Versions

A version for 30 mm or 35 mm wooden dowels may be added soon.
These larger versions are intended for users who want more reserve or plan to store heavier bikes.

⚠️ Important Notes

    •    Always make sure the mount is installed properly and securely.
    •    Check that your wall, screws, dowels, and print settings are suitable for the intended load.
    •    Make sure the selected fit matches your wooden dowel before final use.
    •    For significantly heavier bikes, consider increasing wall thickness, wall count, and overall strength settings.
    •    For higher loads, you may also want to use a stronger filament than PETG and/or switch to a 30 mm or 35 mm dowel version.

I do not take any responsibility or liability for damage, injury, or failures caused by this model, incorrect printing, unsuitable hardware, material choice, or improper installation.
