This is a sturdy and minimalist stand specifically designed for enjoying multimedia content on your tablet from the comfort of your bed, while lying down. It is designed to be placed on a nightstand, offering an optimal viewing angle without the risk of the tablet tipping backward when pressing the screen.
The idea is to lock the automatic screen rotation in horizontal position and place the tablet in the stand vertically to view it from bed, lying on your side.
Total Compatibility
The design has been adjusted for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus, but since the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus shares identical dimensions, the stand is perfectly compatible with both models.
Design Features
- Camera Protection: Includes a specific cutout (notch) to prevent the camera lens from touching the stand, allowing the tablet to sit perfectly without scratching.
- Stability: The base is wide enough to prevent wobbling, ideal for surfaces like nightstands.
- Clear Sound: If using the integrated speakers, the design features dedicated ducts that allow the sound from the bottom speakers to be heard clearly.
- Charging Port: It is recommended to place the tablet with the charging port facing upwards so you can charge it without removing it from the stand. This is possible thanks to the camera cutout.
- Non-slip Base: (Optional) I recommend sticking small rubber or silicone circles in the base recesses (as seen in the photos) for total grip.
Recommended Print Settings
- Material: PLA, PETG or ABS
- Infill: 15%
- Supports: Not necessary if your printer handles short bridges well
Changes as of 04/18/2026:
- The camera cutout is enlarged to provide more clearance.
- The angle of the tablet's backrest relative to the base is reduced from 85 to 83 degrees so it is not as vertical.
- The base where the tablet rests inside the slot now forms a 90-degree angle with the backrest. Previously, it was completely flat.
- The slot has been reduced so that the tablet fits more snugly and has less movement when touching the screen.
