The Story
I made this custom Funko Pop-style Border Collie as a special gift for my cousin. He is obsessed with his dog, Nina, so I wanted to create a unique piece just for him.
The 3D model captures the classic fluffy Border Collie look and athletic build. After printing, the real magic happened: I hand-painted the model to perfectly match Nina's specific black and white markings. It's a truly one-of-a-kind collectible for a proud dog owner!
Print Settings
This model is optimized for easy printing and painting:
- Material: PLA or PETG (both work great as a base for acrylic paint).
- Supports: Tree Supports are recommended for the chin, ears, and tail.
- Walls: Use 2 or 3 wall loops for a solid, sturdy feel.
- Resolution: 0.12mm or 0.15mm layer height for the best details.

The fur textures are extremely painter-friendly. It’s the perfect blank canvas to recreate your own furry best friend using simple brushing techniques.
