Description

No screws? No problem! This Balisong trainer is a 100% 3D printed project. It features custom-designed 3D printed bolts and a dedicated printed wrench for assembly. No extra hardware equired!

This is just Vol. 2! Follow my profile for future releases in this series featuring new blade shapes and handle textures.

You will need superglue to assemble the blade.

Key Features:

  • Fully 3D Printed: Includes 3D printable screws and a tightening tool.
  • Customizable: Swappable handle and blade inserts for endless color combinations.
  • Optimized Geometry: Designed for easy printing with minimal cleanup.

Assembly Tips:

  1. Strength: Print the screws and wrench with extra wall loops/perimeters to handle the torque.
  2. Tolerance: If the threads feel too tight, check your flow rate or use "X-Y Hole/Contour Compensation" in your slicer.
  3. Handle with Care: Tighten the screws firmly but avoid over-torquing to prevent snapping the printed threads.

Assembly Instructions:

Assembly Instructions

1. Glue the Blade & Details

  • Blade: Glue the two blade halves together using superglue (CA glue). Ensure they are perfectly aligned and let the glue cure completely.
  • Inserts: Use a 3D printed screwdriver for wooden inserts.

2. Pivot Preparation

  • Place the spacer ring (bushing) into the pivot hole of the assembled blade. This ring is essential for smooth movement and proper clearance.

3. Final Assembly

  • Align the handles with the blade's pivot hole (with the spacer inside).
  • Insert the 3D printed bolts and tighten them carefully using the included wrench.
  • Tip: If the action is too stiff, loosen the bolt slightly until the handle swings freely
