Filament shelf – customizable, stable, and extremely material-efficient. I designed this shelf to be easily expandable and precisely adaptable to different dimensions

This modular filament shelf is a simple, stable, and very low-material solution for neatly and space-efficiently storing multiple spools 😊. The design is based on wooden dowel rods 1 m long, standardly in 16 mm, but can be easily adjusted in the model to 12 mm, 18 mm, or any other size 🔧

Through parametrization, you can precisely adapt the shelf to your spool widths and available space. The design intentionally remains simple, functional, and robust – without unnecessary details, without frills 👍

For printing, PLA is completely sufficient, as the load is low and stability primarily comes from the wooden rods 🪵. If desired, Fuzzy Skin can also be activated – this has already been successfully tested and provides a pleasant, grippy surface ✨

The shelf can be expanded as desired, is quick to assemble, and is perfect for a workshop, printer setup, or any compact filament organization 🧵

For the basic construction, I used 5 wooden dowel rods, 1 meter in length each (Ø 16 mm, e.g., beech dowel rods from Toom). The diameter can be adjusted in the model with just a few clicks

The design is deliberately minimalist, quick to print, and requires little material. Ideal for workshop, printer setup, or
