A fun and melancholic reinterpretation of the galaxy's most famous protocol droid. This model features C-3PO in a thoughtful pose, reminiscent of Rodin's “The Thinker”. It is specifically designed as an "edge sitter," making it the perfect figure to place on the edge of your monitor, a bookshelf, or keeping watch over the edge of your own Bambu Lab printer while it works.
⚙️ Print Recommendations:
- Material: PLA. (A Silk Gold or shiny gold PLA filament is a must to achieve that classic protocol droid look!).
- Layer Height: 0.12 mm - 0.16 mm. A finer layer height will help capture the intricate details of the exposed midsection wiring and the armor panel lines.
- Supports: Yes, required. I highly recommend using Tree Supports in Bambu Studio (Slim or Default style) to support the elbows, chin, and the knees/feet area. They are much easier to remove and will leave the mechanical details intact.
- Infill: 10% - 15% Gyroid is more than enough to provide stability without wasting material.
- Wall Loops: 2 or 3 for a solid, clean exterior finish.
