  • This is my version of a rain chain, inspired by the traditional Japanese sort. 

  • There are several patterns to choose from and once you have printed some of them you can start making your chain. 

  • The one nearest to the inflow should be the open version to allow the water to flow into the chain without spilling from the top.

  •  I used 15cm piece of 1.5mm wide wire. Thread the wire through and insert the 2 spacers to hold it in place. Just bend the ends to stop the wire slipping out.

  • You can attach it to the gutter through the hole in the top of the downpipe and inserting the wire. 

  • I also printed a small gutter for my shed which I will upload as a separate profile in case you want to use it.
