H0 Level Crossing Roadway & Track Infill Set (1:87)

This model set is designed to complement ready-made level crossing gates and barriers by recreating the road surface between them and the road continuing beyond the crossing in a consistent style.

Many commercial sets — for example Auhagen Schrankenanlage 11 345 — feature a distinctive cobblestone pavement pattern. I carefully recreated this cobblestone texture and extended it into modular elements that allow you to build a realistic and continuous roadway through and beyond the crossing.

What’s included

This listing contains modular printable elements:

• Cobblestone infill between the rails (track infill panels)
• Cobblestone roadway sections matching the exact same pattern
• Concrete track crossing panels (the element placed between rails for vehicles to pass)
  • Version with small alignment tabs to better match rail geometry in scale
  • Version without tabs for universal fit

Together, these parts allow you to create a visually coherent road section that integrates perfectly with existing level crossing gate models.

Printing recommendations

• Designed for high-detail printing
• Recommended nozzle: 0.2 mm
• Possible to print with 0.4 mm, but fine surface detail will be less pronounced
• Models contain a large amount of fine detail, so slicing in Bambu Studio may take a little longer than usual

Filament

• Designed to be printed in gray filament for the most realistic base appearance before weathering

File sizes

• Default sections are 10 cm long
• Other lengths can be prepared on request

Purpose

These models are meant to solve a common layout problem: ready-made level crossing kits usually include only the gate sections, leaving the modeler to figure out how to continue the road realistically. This set provides the missing pieces so the road surface looks natural, continuous, and consistent across the entire scene.
