Description

This 3D-printable model replaces the original disposable dust bag of the Ecovacs emptying station with a reusable container. It includes the same sliding closure mechanism as the original bag for secure transport, but for emptying, the entire container can be opened.

The hinges are assembled using short pieces of 1.75 mm filament. The container closes with two snap-fit clips connecting the body and lid. For filtration, a piece of 6 mm thick filter mat (AliExpress – size 42 mm × 83 mm) is simply placed into the provided slot.

The container can be printed in PLA or PETG. I used PETG HF — it’s not visually perfect, but it works reliably for this purpose.

The design is still under development and may receive small updates in the future. I’m publishing it early so others already have a working alternative available.

The photos are not polished — they just show the model as printed, to help others get started easily.

Assembly Instructions

  • Connect the body and lid using two short 1.75 mm filament pieces as hinge pins.
  • Connect the lid and both snap-fit clips with short filament pieces.
  • Insert the sealing piece into the body.
  • Mount the intake pipe into the Retainer Back Plate with its flat side facing inward.
  • Place the Intake Funnel Cover into the Retainer Slider Plate.
  • Gently flex the Retainer Slider Plate and snap it into the mounts of the Retainer Back Plate.
  • Insert the complete intake assembly into the body.
  • Place the filter (42 × 83 mm) into the dedicated slot.
  • Close the container by snapping the body and lid together.
  • Done — ready to use with your Ecovacs emptying station.
