Photography multi-function clamp crab clamp tripod ball head extension
Print Profile(1)

Description
Modeled after the design of the Tiltall GA-6 clamp
Can be made at home using standard parts.
Hardware needed:

One 1/4-20*6*8 heat set insert
Two M5 nuts
Two M5 screws, choose screw length based on the diameter to be clamped + 22mm, minimum length 30mm.
Production steps:
First, print plate 1, which is the lower part of the clamp. The print profile has pause layers set. When printing reaches the pause layer, insert 2 M5 nuts as shown in the figure

Then click continue printing until finished.

Next, print plate 2, which is the upper part of the clamp. Since the thumb screw needs to be installed in the middle of the model, the model needs to be printed in two halves
Plate 2 does not require pausing. Print it directly.

After printing, insert the thumb screw as shown, then assemble the two halves, and bond the joint with super glue

Non-slip rubber pads can be attached to the middle of the clamp and the 1/4 screw area.
You do not need to worry about the strength of the glue, as this clamp model does not rely on the glue for structural integrity; it is only to ensure the thumb screw stays in place.
In reality, the model's strength comes from the clamping force of the screw, which passes through all three printed parts simultaneously.
The print profile has been set to 0.28mm layer height, 6 walls, 25% infill, and adaptive cubic infill with strong isotropic strength, so the overall strength should not be too brittle.
If conditions permit, it is recommended to anneal PLA, use CF/GF reinforced filament, etc.
However, since it is a plastic printed part, it is limited by layer adhesion,
Therefore, please assess the actual load capacity based on the filament you use. Do not use this model for clamping excessively heavy or expensive equipment.
Immediately stop using if the printed part shows any layer separation or deformation.
This model is suitable for my Flycat Cable Cam V2
Can be installed with 30mm long M5 screws
