The Panzer III Ausf. F is an improved version of the Ausf. E, featuring enhanced armor protection and a transition toward more powerful armament, while maintaining a largely similar overall appearance. Later variants were upgraded with the 5 cm main gun, replacing the underpowered 3.7 cm gun, and often equipped with appliqué armor to improve survivability. This model set is based on the North African campaign, representing vehicles used by the Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK). All tanks are shown in tropical specification, featuring tropical air filters and a spare road wheel mounted on the left hull side, highlighting the distinctive details of the Ausf. F.

The Panzer III Ausf. F is an improved version based on the Ausf. E, mainly strengthening protection and gradually transitioning to more powerful firepower, while maintaining a similar overall appearance to the Ausf. E. Later models were equipped with a 5 cm main gun and often had additional bolted armor (appliqué armor) to enhance protection. This model is set against the backdrop of the North African campaign, restoring the equipment status of the Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK). All vehicles are tropical versions, equipped with tropical filters, and carry spare road wheels on the left side of the hull, highlighting the typical characteristics of the Ausf. F in detail.

• Plate_01: Panzer III Ausf.F - Tropical - Extra track armor in the front  + 3.7 cm gun

  Plate 1: Panzer III Ausf.F Tropical: Front extra track armor + early 3.7cm main gun

  

• Plate_02:  Panzer III Ausf.F - Late Tropical - Added frontal protection + new 5 cm gun

  Plate 2: Panzer III Ausf.F Late Type (Tropical) - Front hull armor plate + 5cm main gun

  

• Plate_03:  Panzer III Ausf.F - Late Tropical - extra track armor at lower/upper glacis

  • Note 1: This is basically an upgraded version of Late version (Plate 02) with extra track armor 
  • Note 2: 2 spare wheels are provided, need to glue them to the arch-shaped track armor (see photo below)

  Plate 3: Panzer III Ausf.F Tropical - Lower glacis arched track armor + upper glacis track armor

  • Tip 2: This is an upgraded version based on Plate 2 late type (with additional track armor)
  • Tip 2: Two extra spare road wheels are provided, need to glue them to the arched track armor (see photo below)

  

• Plate_04:  FYI - A spare turrent with 3.7 cm gun and extra track armor protection - in case you prefer this to replace any of the turrent provided in Plate 01~03

  Plate 4: Provides an additional turret option: 3.7 cm main gun + additional track armor, if you want to use this turret to replace the default matched turret in other plates

Recommend having a sprue cutter/nipper to help remove the supports.

Plate 01 & 02 have the NKAV (smoke grenade rack system) at the rear, please be careful when removing the support.

The rear of Plate 1 and 2's hull has smoke grenade launchers, please be careful when removing their supports.
