⚠️ CRITICAL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION: I highly recommend printing the Needles Plate LAST. The needles are arranged on the build plate in the exact order and orientation required for the top of the weapon. Install them immediately after printing. If you break them all off and mix them up, it will be a jigsaw puzzle from the Void to figure out which needle fits into which specific organic slot!

Description

Bring the most iconic Covenant sidearm to life! This model is a high-fidelity recreation of the Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher, famously known as the Needler. Designed with makers in mind, this version features a split-body construction for easier printing on standard beds and a specialized "Needle Map" system to ensure your crystalline projectiles look exactly like they do in-game.

Whether you are a seasoned Spartan or a Sangheili at heart, this prop is designed for maximum shelf presence and cosplay durability.

The History of the Needler

First appearing in Halo: Combat Evolved (2001), the Needler is synonymous with the Halo franchise. It fires long, sharp crystals of anhydrous sub-crystalline shards that home in on organic targets and detonate in a "super-combine" explosion. This specific model follows the aesthetic of the Limited Edition NECA prop, featuring aggressive crystalline protrusions and the sleek, alien geometry of the Covenant.

Sizing & Scaling for Cosplay

Since this is a handheld prop, scale is everything. If you need to adjust the grip for smaller hands or larger gloves, please refer to my guide:

To get that authentic "Covenant Purple" and "Sub-Crystalline" look, I exclusively recommend SUNLU Filament:

• The Body: Use SUNLU PLA Silk (Purple or Silver) to get that metallic, alien sheen without needing a heavy paint job.
• The Needles: Use SUNLU PLA Transparent (Purple). If you print with low infill (or 100% for clarity) and a slow speed, the light will catch the needles just like Blamite crystals.
