Description

If you own a late 90s or early 2000s VAG group car, you probably know the struggle: the factory lumbar support adjustment knob on the driver's seat breaks off easily due to aging plastic and a weak central stem.

Instead of buying an expensive replacement or a used one that might break tomorrow, I designed this reinforced, 3D-printable alternative for the OEM part number 1J0 881 671 G (or 1J0881671G).

Key Improvements:

  • Reinforced Core: Unlike the original factory design, I added structural ribs around the central mounting tube to prevent it from snapping off when you turn the knob.
  • Perfect Fit: Carefully modeled to match the original spline dimensions for a snug and secure fit on the seat's metal shaft.

Compatibility: This part was tested on a Skoda Octavia Mk1, but it should fit many other vehicles from the same era sharing the same part number, including:

  • VW Golf Mk4 / Bora / Jetta
  • VW Passat B5 / B5.5
  • Seat Leon Mk1 / Toledo Mk2
  • Audi A3 8L (If it fits your specific car, please let me know in the comments!)
