Description

I really liked the original model on here and found myself putting with it a lot, so I decided to refine it a bit. I added a copper faceplate(changed depth of faceplate to 3mm vs 6mm) and created small front side cavities to accommodate 4 additional 0.25 oz weights. I also filled in the rear cavity that wasn’t usable for weighting.

I’ve included a bottom plate without holes, as I found the snap fit held well with a bit of epoxy. You can use aluminum, steel, copper, or any material you prefer for the face, I just went with copper. You will need to cut it to shape and belt sand it down to size to fit. With a copper setup, the putter came out to exactly 400 grams, so you can adjust the weights to suit your preference. I used a shaft from temu with a .370 tip.

I'm really pleased with this print, although I've not tested it out on the course yet so cannot comment on how it works as a putter. But the print and the assembly was fairly easy. I only had PETG Translucent so I had to use that. I used an aluminium face insert and added a Super Stroke grip. Removing the supports was quite time consuming, but once I got the hang of it I was getting much quicker towards the end.

Looks great! Definitely recommend using tree supports for easier removal. I have yet to try an aluminum face!

Just got this put together. Fairly easy to put the weights in there and it gives it the heft you'd expect in a putter. Got some 95A white TPU for the alignment cross and the faceplate. Ordered a graphite shaft from Amazon for cheap, it wouldn't get in there but after some shaving with the Dremel it fit fine. Putter swings great, feels like other zero torque putters I've tried. Thanks for upping the design and sharing.

Looks great man! I’m still using mine out on the course. I found the TPU a bit too soft for my liking. Up here in the Pacific Northwest, the greens tend to be slower most of the season, so I needed a bit more pop. PETG or metal worked better for me. You can always carefully drill out the faceplate and pop in a different material and see how you like it if you didn’t glue it in.

Love the remix.. printing as we speak but I do have a question where did you buy the face insert?

I ordered a 3mm strip of copper off Amazon which I then cut and belt sanded down to size. If you want to use a plastic insert then you can print the original model face insert that is 6mm and just change the depth to 2.9mm on the slicer before printing.

Just type in 1/4oz or quarter ounce wheel weights on Amazon. Should be some options under $20.

I got mine off Amazon. I would just make sure it’s only 3mm thick. I got this one. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B0F9X16CP6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

where did you source the shaft and how is the shaft connected to the putter head?

I got the shaft from Temu, but you can use any .370 tip, could even use an old iron shaft. It pressure fits in the angled hole and I added a bit of epoxy to ensure it wouldnt come out.
