Upgrading to smart home switches often means dealing with the non-standard 86x86mm dimensions of popular Tuya/Zigbee glass touch switches. If you want to combine one of these sleek smart switches with a standard European power outlet, you are usually out of luck.
This custom-designed Combo Adapter & Spacer Frame solves this exact problem. It seamlessly integrates an 86x86mm smart switch and a standard EU 55mm outlet into one clean, modern, and professional-looking unit.
Key Features:
- Perfect Fit: Designed to house a standard 86x86mm glass touch switch (like the popular Zigbee DS-1011ZC) on top and a standard European "System 55" outlet insert (e.g., Gira, REV) on the bottom.
- 10mm Spacer Design: Old or tight wall boxes? No problem! This frame adds a 10mm offset from the wall. This crucial extra space makes cable management a breeze and easily accommodates Wago connectors or the bulky electronics on the back of the smart switch.
- Smart Wiring Advantage: By pairing the switch directly above an outlet, you gain easy access to the outlet's Neutral wire. If you use a "Neutral optional" smart switch, you can wire it with Neutral to turn the switch into a Zigbee Router, massively improving your smart home mesh network!
Hardware Requirements (BOM):
- 1x Smart Switch: Tuya/Zigbee Glass Touch Switch (Model DS-1011ZC or similar 86x86mm / 10mm depth panel).
- 1x Outlet: Standard EU System 55 insert.or printed
- Original mounting screws from your wall boxes.
Recommended Print Settings:
- Material: PETG-GF (Glass Fiber reinforced PETG) is highly recommended! Outlets can generate heat under heavy load, and PETG offers the necessary thermal stability. Plus, the glass fibers provide an incredibly premium, matte finish that hides layer lines perfectly, making it look like an injection-molded part.
- Nozzle: 0.4mm Hardened Steel (required if printing with abrasive GF filaments).
- Wall Loops: 2
- Infill: 8% Gyroid.
- Supports: Minimal supports required for the recessed outlet area (depending on your printer's bridging capabilities).
