Ham Radio Microphone Holder
Print Profile(2)

Description
This is a versatile, space-saving microphone holder that mounts securely to desks or tabletops using a tightening screw without the need for drilling. It is the perfect solution for keeping your microphone organized and within reach when not in use.
IMPORTANT: This project includes TWO DISTINCT BASE VARIATIONS. Choose and print the one that matches your microphone type:
- Variation 1: Slot Type (Direct Mount)
- Features an integrated slot directly on the main body. Perfect for standard microphones equipped with a rear mounting clip/button.
- Variation 2: Screw-In Stud Type (Threaded Mount)
- Features a threaded front hole. For this option, you must print the Threaded Base along with the Small Bolt (Button/Stud). Once screwed in, it creates a protruding hanger for microphones with a rear mounting hole.
Key Features:
- Screw-Adjustable Mount: Uses an integrated screw to fix the holder securely. Unlike simple clip-on mounts, this clamp ensures it won't slip even when the mic cable is pulled.
- Compatibility: Suitable for most handheld CB and Ham radio microphones.
- Desk Thickness: Can be mounted on desk surfaces with a thickness ranging from 10mm to 25mm.
- Tested with Yaesu: Variation 1 is used daily with a Yaesu FT-991A radio and an MH-31 microphone.
Dimensions & Specifications:
Variation 1 (Slot Base Dimensions):
- Entry width: 12mm
- Internal width: 21mm
- Slot depth: 5mm Please check your microphone clip size before printing.
Variation 2 (Small Button Bolt Dimensions):
- Hexagonal Base: 7mm
- Disc/Head Diameter: 10mm
Printing Recommendations:
- Orientation for Strength: For maximum durability, print the main parts on their side. This ensures the layer lines are perpendicular to the clamping force of the bolt, preventing the clamp from splitting under tension.
- Material: Printed with PLA, but it is recommended to be printed with PETG for better durability.
- Infill: At least 25-30%.
- Walls: Minimum 3-4 wall loops (important for thread strength).
- Supports: Supports are required for this print to ensure the clamp and hook areas are formed correctly.
