Description

This is to replaces the mesh fabric interior door pockets on a 1998-2004 (9c) VW Beetle with a solid hinged panel (door).
This replaces the original fabric mesh and the inner pocket panel.

This is not a straight swap, as it is wider than the original so does require modification of the original interiror door panel,
however, if enough people comment requesting for a direct swap version (original pocket size replacement) , I will produce the design.
(or you can just chop some width out, I wouldn't reduce x-scale)

There design includes the option to relocate the boot / fuel flap switch inside this pocket area,
but, if you do not wish to have the boot / fuel flap switch relocation, just mirror the Passenger side pocket

Door is designed to fit either passenger and driver side

The "Pocket" files are for Right Hand Drive Cars (RHD), so mirror in your slicer for LHD

STLs are full size parts - you may need to split to suit you printer size
3MF files are for Bambu PS1 and include a "midpoint" dovetail join

Recommend printing in ABS filament with 100% infill (solid)

For jointing /gluing I used:
Acetone (Automotive paint thinner) as a "glue" at the "mid point" join for the door
Hot staples generally everywere else.
Hot (soldering) iron to smoothout and fill joins of original car door panel

Other parts required:
304 Stainless Steel Rod: 2 x ( 2.2mm diam x 500 long)
Neodymium Iron Boron Magnets: 4 x (10mm diam x 8mm thick) - or more depending on closing strength required
