ArtPot “Kanagawa Wave” – Modular Bonsai Pot

Modular bonsai pot system designed for both aesthetics and functionality.

This is the first model in an artwork-based series, created to let you change the look of your bonsai without repotting.

How it works:
Your plant sits in the internal pot, while the external shell is fully interchangeable. 
Simply lift the internal pot and place it into a different outer shell whenever you want a new style, color, or seasonal look.

Material concept:
• External parts are purely aesthetic – print them in any material you like (PLA, wood PLA, matte, etc.) 
• Internal parts are functional – recommended to print in PETG or other water-resistant materials 

Features:
• Interchangeable outer shells (no repotting required) 
• Built-in wire anchor points for bonsai training 
• Multi-purpose drainage holes 
• Optional self-watering system using wicks 
• Modular tray system (internal / external / mixed use) 

Drainage & bottom holes can be used in multiple ways:
• For bonsai wiring and plant stabilization 
• Covered with mesh to retain soil 
• Filled with wick material for passive self-watering 
• Closed with included plugs 

Self-watering setup:
You can insert absorbent material (e.g. acrylic yarn, nylon cord, or fabric strips) through the holes to connect the pot with water in the tray below. 
This creates a simple passive watering system (effectiveness depends on soil mix and material used).
