Geocaching Puzzle Container with NFC & Magnet

Puzzle containers are now available in countless variations – however, this one deliberately stands out. It was specially developed for use in geocaching and combines classic puzzle mechanics with modern technology and practical design.

The container features an integrated NFC chip (25 × 8 mm), which opens up completely new possibilities – e.g. for digital hints, additional puzzle stages or interactive logs. This allows the cache to be designed much more creatively than with conventional solutions.

A magnet is provided for attachment. Either a 25 × 4 mm magnet or, alternatively, two 25 × 2 mm magnets are recommended. This allows the container to be placed quickly, securely and inconspicuously on metallic surfaces.

An integrated logbook holder ensures that the logbook can be easily removed without jamming or damage – a small but very helpful detail in use.

Features:

  • Specifically designed for geocaching
  • NFC chip (25 × 8 mm) for enhanced cache experiences
  • Magnet holder for 25×4 mm or 2 × 25×2 mm magnets
  • Integrated logbook holder for easy removal
  • Compact and robust design
  • Classic puzzle design with functional added value

Notes:

  • The puzzle is deliberately not too difficult and is therefore suitable for a wide target audience.
  • At the bottom, there is a small “nose” that needs to be overcome with slight pressure to open or close, see photo
  • Two pauses are provided during printing:
    • First print pause: Insert only the NFC chip (25 × 8 mm)
    • Second print pause: Insert magnet(s) (25 × 4 mm or 2 × 25 × 2 mm)
  • Important: For long-term outdoor use, PETG or ASA should be used. PLA is not weather-resistant and therefore unsuitable for geocaches.
  • Optionally, magnetic metal discs (body washers) can also be inserted to create a fishing cache. It would then only be important to point out that the magnetic side must definitely face upwards; this could be mentioned on the NFC chip, and a print profile for it is included
