Description
Building a DIY teepee for your kids or need to repair a broken play tent pole? This Parametric Teepee Rod Connector is designed to securely join two wooden dowels, creating long, stable support beams for any play structure.
The design features a smart tapered internal bore: the ends are slightly wider for easy insertion, while the center is tighter to "bite" into the wood and ensure the poles don't slide out during playtime.
✨ Why this connector?
- Teepee Optimized: Large surface area for maximum stability.
- Customizable: Teepee poles come in many sizes (18mm, 20mm, 22mm, etc.). Use the Customize button to match your exact dowel diameter.
- Safe & Smooth: Rounded "barrel" shape to avoid snagging the tent fabric.
📏 How to get the perfect fit
- Measure your teepee pole diameter accurately.
- Open the Customizer.
- Set the Inner diameter at the ends to be +0.4mm larger than your pole.
- Set the Inner diameter at the center to be exactly your pole's diameter (for a snug fit) or -0.1mm for a permanent "hammer-in" fit.
🖨️ Recommended Print Settings
- Material: PETG is highly recommended—it's more flexible and durable than PLA, meaning it won't crack when you force the wooden rods in.
- Wall Loops: Use 4 to 6 walls for maximum strength. The poles act as long levers, so the connector needs to be very tough.
- Infill: 100%
- Supports: None needed! Print it standing up.
