Description
Bumper Clip Replacement / Repair Mount
This 3D-printed part is a replacement for when the original bumper clip is snapped off or beyond repair.
Key Features:
- Reinforced Design: It features an additional wall to provide a much larger surface area for mounting, ensuring a solid bond with the bumper.
- Tested Material: I printed this version in PETG for good durability.
- ASA Alternative: For maximum heat and UV resistance (especially on dark-colored cars), ASA is highly recommended as an even better alternative.
Installation Methods:
- Adhesive: I personally used a silicone-based adhesive (silicone glue) to bond the part. This keeps the joint flexible and resistant to road vibrations.
- Plastic Welding (Hot Stapler): The design is also compatible with plastic welding using metal staples. The extra wall provides enough material to melt in the staples/wires securely, creating a very strong mechanical bond with the bumper.
Placement: Front bumper, specifically located under the left headlight.
