The Ferrari FXX K is a track-only hybrid car based on the LaFerrari, with its technological core lying in the F1-derived HY-KERS system, extreme aerodynamics, and exclusive track tuning

Hybrid Powertrain (HY-KERS)

The FXX K features a hybrid power system consisting of a 6.3-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine, codenamed F140 FF, and an electric motor The engine has been upgraded with new camshafts, mechanical tappets, polished intake manifolds, and other technologies, delivering a maximum power of 860 horsepower (633 kilowatts) The electric motor has a maximum power of 190 horsepower (140 kilowatts) The combined maximum system power is 1050 horsepower (772 kilowatts), with peak torque exceeding 900 Newton-meters Its HY-KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System), derived from F1 technology, recovers braking energy and assists power output during acceleration Drivers can select four electric motor assist modes via the 'Manettino' dial on the center console, including limited lap maximum performance mode, long-distance race performance optimization mode, manual instant torque boost mode, and rapid battery charging mode The transmission system is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox (7-DCT)

Aerodynamics and Lightweight Design

The FXX K's body underwent extensive aerodynamic optimization based on the LaFerrari The front features a two-stage front spoiler with vertical winglets on both sides The rear is equipped with a dual spoiler and an extendable active spoiler, combined with an oversized underbody diffuser It generates 540kg of downforce at 200km/h, an overall downforce increase of 50% compared to the LaFerrari The body length increased by 194 mm to 4896mm, and width by 59 mm By using carbon fiber panels, lightweight glass, racing wheels, and other components, approximately 90 kilograms were reduced, bringing the car's weight to about 1255 kilograms

Tires, Brakes, and Chassis Electronics

The FXX K is equipped with Pirelli P Zero slick hot-melt tires with sensors, with rear tire size 345/725 R20 Tire sensors monitor longitudinal and lateral acceleration, temperature, and tire pressure, with data transmitted in real-time and interconnected with traction control (F1-Trac), Side Slip Control (SSC), and vehicle stability systems, enabling precise traction control [3] The front axle features 398mm carbon-ceramic brake discs manufactured by Brembo The vehicle is equipped with a high-performance ABS anti-lock braking system (adjustable via the steering wheel) and an electronically controlled differential, with all systems specifically calibrated for slick hot-melt tires
