baroque Holy Week float structure

DESCRIPTION:

The float shown in the image features a profusely carved box or basket, typical of the processional floats of Andalusian Holy Week. Its design combines vegeal motifs, baroque scrollwork, and ornamental reliefs, all executed with a meticulousness reminiscent of the gilded wood carving from great artisan workshops.

The surface is covered by a framework of acanthus leaves, volutes, and intertwined moldings, creating an effect of depth and movement characteristic of the baroque style. Each relief appears handcrafted, with a level of detail that suggests hours of chiseling and patience. The upper edge features a more sober molding that frames the ensemble, while the sides present decorative panels that could correspond to cartouches where, in a real float, coats of arms, Passion symbols, or biblical scenes would be included.

Although no imagery appears in the photo, the basket conveys the feeling of belonging to a mystery or Christ float, due to the robustness of the carving and the strength of the design. ASSEMBLY METHOD:

It is cut into two parts to save material and avoid excessive internal support. Once both parts are printed, glue one on top of the other with superglue, and your Holy Week float will be ready for you to place the image you like best on top.
