Description

I designed this bearing-based spin cap specifically for the metal precision screwdrivers shown in the photo.

This mod completely upgrades the user experience: it turns a basic screwdriver into a professional-style spinner, with smooth, controlled rotation and improved handling.

The system uses a 608zz bearing and dual O-Rings to achieve a firm, removable fit with zero wobble.

💡 This design includes two cap versions:

  • 🔵 High Profile → more comfortable for palm support, ideal for longer sessions
  • ⚫ Low Profile → more compact, perfect for portability or minimal setups

⚙ Features

  • 🌀 Smooth and free rotation (real bearing, not plastic)
  • 🎯 Specifically designed for this screwdriver model
  • 🖐 Improved ergonomics and control
  • 🔒 Secure fit with O-Rings (no glue required)

  • 🔄 Two versions: high and low profile
  • 🛠 Ideal for electronics, consoles, phones, and precision work

💡 Design notes

  • Knurled exterior for better grip
  • Dual O-ring system eliminates axial play
  • Fully removable (no tools required)
  • Available in both compact and ergonomic versions

🧪 How it works

The shaft is inserted into the bearing and held in place using the O-Rings.
The cap houses the bearing, allowing it to spin freely while you apply pressure from your palm.

Result: you can rotate the screwdriver with your fingers while maintaining constant downward pressure.
