SubTub is a playful little submarine designed for big adventures! Whether he's patrolling the bubbles in your bathtub or embarking on a secret mission across the floor, he's here to bring a smile to your face. Designed for the Pieksekisten contest, he’s a friendly, rounded companion ready for any underwater mission.
He’s got a magic spinning rotor and a pop-in periscope, all packed into a clever design that prints perfectly with zero supports.
📦 What's in the box?
- The Submarine Buddy: A sturdy, one-piece hull with a built-in propeller that really spins!
- The Periscope: A little "snap-in" detail so you can give your sub a splash of a different color.
🖨️ Easy-Peasy Printing
- PETG Will be the best option for sturdiness, but PLA will work just fine.
- No Supports: SubTub is designed with integrated supports. No messy clean-up needed—just print and play!
- Standing Tall: Print him vertically on his base for the best results and the smoothest spinning rotor.
- Choose Your Material: Standard PLA works perfectly for all adventures, whether on land or in the water.
🔧 Fun Features
- The Spin Test: Once he's off the print bed, give the propeller a tiny twist to wake it up—then watch it spin freely!
- Rotating Periscope: Just snap the periscope into the slot on top. No glue is needed, and it can rotate all the way around so you can look in any direction!
🌊 Behind the Scenes
- Smart Design: I’ve tucked all the "engineering" inside the model. This means the internal supports are already there, ensuring a perfect print every time without you having to do any extra work.
- AMS Friendly & Easy Coloring: Since the periscope is a separate piece and the sub prints standing up, you can easily create a multi-colored SubTub with minimum filament changes, even if you don't have an AMS!
