Description

This model is a parametric multi-geometry washer generator specifically designed for high-friction mechanical fits. It uses 2D profile-offsetting to create uniform walls around four distinct hole types (Round, D-shape, Oval, and Double-D). The standout feature is an optional, reinforced grip collar that extends the surface area along the shaft for maximum stability without increasing the overall thickness of the washer base.

I designed this to use behind stove knobs to help keep my stove safety covers on.  If you keep tight tolerances and use TPU, you can use these as stoppers to provide resistance on axles.  The custom shapes are based on stove knob pin cross-sections I have run into.  TPU is your best friend with this tool, but there are many applications where PETG or PLA are acceptable as long as you are using it as a true washer and not a stopper.

AI Disclaimer:  I use Gemini as a coding assistant.  SCAD files are deterministic, so the models are free of hallucinations.  The code is rigorously tested, so print your outputted models with confidence.
