Description
Vent Cap for Crawl Space (Ø63mm)
Printable alternative to "Nicoll" type parts or other plumbing brands.
Improve your home's ventilation with this robust and aesthetic vent cap, specifically designed for standard 63 mm diameter PVC pipes.
This model allows optimal air circulation for your crawl space while protecting the conduit from debris, leaves, or small animals.
Main features:
- Perfect compatibility: Designed to fit precisely on a 63 mm diameter pipe.
- Effective protection: Vertical slots are sized to allow air passage while acting as a protective barrier.
- Discreet design: Its sleek finish integrates perfectly on roofs or wall outlets.
- Easy installation: No tools required, just slide it onto the end of the pipe (a dot of PVC glue can be added for permanent attachment).
Printing tips:
- Recommended material: I strongly recommend PETG, ASA or ABS. PLA may deform under the long-term effects of sun heat and UV.
- Infill: 15-20% (Gyroid recommended for strength).
- Supports: Depending on orientation, light supports may be needed for the top part of the cap, but the model is optimized for easy printing.
- Walls: 3 or 4 lines to ensure good durability against weather.
Why use this model?
A poorly ventilated crawl space can lead to humidity and mold problems. This cap is a simple, economical, and durable DIY printable solution to keep your installation in good condition.
